Who we are

Flash Energy International (Pvt) Ltd runs quartz.lk and decides how the personal data described here is used. Processing plant: Embilipitiya Industrial Park, Embilipitiya 70600, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka. For anything about your data, email info@quartz.lk.

What we collect

• Specification requests. Your name, company and email, and anything else you enter in the form: country, product, application, particle size, volume, destination port and requirements. The form sends them to us by email. The website does not keep them in a database.
• Correspondence. Emails and messages you send us, and our replies.
• Business contacts we find ourselves. When we contact companies that may buy quartz: name, job role, company, business email and where we found them, such as the company's website, a trade directory or a trade show.
• Technical data. Like every web server, our host records IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

Why we use it

• To answer your request, prepare quotes and samples, and agree and carry out a contract. These are steps you ask us to take before a contract, and the contract itself.
• To follow up on your request and to contact businesses about our products. This is our legitimate interest in selling quartz to businesses. You can object at any time, and we will stop.
• To keep the site secure. This is also a legitimate interest.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who receives it

• Our directors and the staff who handle enquiries and orders.
• Hostinger, which hosts this website and our email, as our service provider.
• Shipping, inspection and testing companies, only when they are needed to deliver an order you place.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Transfers between countries

We are based in Sri Lanka. If you contact us from another country, your data comes to Sri Lanka and may pass through our service providers' servers in other countries. We transfer it because it is needed to answer your request and to carry out a contract with you.

How long we keep it

• Requests that do not lead to an order: 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted.
• Customer and order records: as long as tax and commercial law requires.
• Server logs: for a short period set by our host.
• Business contacts from our outreach: until you ask us to stop. After that we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so we do not contact you again.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct it, delete it or limit how we use it. You can object to follow-up and outreach at any time. Email info@quartz.lk and we will reply within one month. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your data protection authority. In Sri Lanka, that is the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka.

Cookies and storage on your device

• quartz.lk sets no cookies. It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking.
• Contact form. If a request fails to send, your browser keeps what you typed in session storage on your own device, so you do not have to type it again. It is removed the next time the contact page loads, or when you close the tab. It reaches us only inside the request itself.
• Director business cards. Maps load from Google only when you choose "Show map". Google may then set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.
• Kosala Gamage's business card remembers your language choice in local storage and can be saved for offline use. Neither is sent to us.

None of this tracks you, so the site shows no consent banner.

Changes

We update this notice when our practices change. The date at the top shows the current version.
